Hearing Gillian Anderson use an English accent in The Fall threw me (she also spoke with it when she did SIARPC on Top Gear this season)after hearing her all Americanized in XFiles for so long. I do believe she was born/raised in the UK.

Dominic West on the Wire--I had no idea he was English and I still find it strange to hear him speak with his native accent.

Hugh Laurie was as surprise too, but I prefer his English accent.
