(Anonymous) 2015-05-02 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)But that's understandable. I mean I saw Cats as a little kid and loved it, but that's because I loved cats (the animal) so much. But I can see how that could rub a kid (or adult) the wrong way and disturb them.
I have more trouble buying that a picture of a guy who wrote musicals who, to my knowledge, doesn't act in them and so wouldn't even register as a "character" to a child, would give someone that same reaction. But hey. Anything is possible.

In the vein of being scared of real people who I'd never met/never would meet: I was scared of Richard Nixon. I don't recall ever being scared enough to think he was coming to get me at night, but IDK. Kids are weird.
