Slightly off-topic, but I do hope those gangs have their asses handed to them. Just an excuse to keep on doing illegal shit without recourse.

I thought like that too, but honestly, based on comments on Facebook I really don't think it's gangs as WBALTV reportedly made it out to be.

I see. Well, whoever it is, I hope they get caught/stopped. Not every cop is a bad person, and it's a really shitty thing to do. Like when they cut the fire hose putting all those firefighters in danger. Stuff like that angers me to no end.

Well, the cops were charged (did not realize 3 were black, including a woman). So, if everyone is lucky, idiots will stop rioting and looting. Unless there is another old folk's home they want to burn down. Maybe a daycare? Or a hospital?

He did say that, but it's out of context. He was very strongly anti-violence. He also said:

I think the question of what MLB would have said is kind of beside the point in a discussion of the riots. That said, what I think - and I think he would have agreed with this, but I think it regardless - is that, yes, riots are destructive and ultimately self defeating and not a defensible thing on moral or practical grounds. But at the same time they're a sign of a larger disorder in society and a real pressing need in society that we can't set aside or if ore because some of the people in that group resorted to violence.

The thing is, no one is going to see past the riots. They burned down and looted their own neighborhoods and endangered firefighters. This is just giving fuel to racist right wingers and nutjobs. This isn't helping them, it's hurting them, in more ways than one.
