baby's first sex toy

(Anonymous) 2015-05-02 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
so I really don't know where else to go... I want to buy a vibrator (penetrative) and I have no idea where to start.
Any recommendations for me? Nothing too huge or crazy I don't think... but something that's safe and decent quality.
I know it would be best to just go into a shop and ask for help, but there aren't any in my area. so I think I have to order online... can anybody rec me a good site (that ships internationally; I am not in USA)

thanks!
(I am female, if that matters)

Shop around online. Look for larger online outlets that do a lot of business and offer a money back return policy. It's pretty easy and you don't actually have to go into a sex store.

Although if you do know that there are nice, reputable sex stores in your area you can always go to one of those.

I have a friend who used to work for a company similar to Passion Parties, and those are great to go to to look for options but are usually somewhat overpriced to buy from.

Sometimes drug stores/pharmacies carry some basic sex toys. I've seen it in the US and the UK, but I don't know about other places. I got one at a pharmacy, it wasn't fancy but it was a good starter, but honestly I think from now on I'd just buy online to save myself the shame of buying them in person.

Babeland is a decent site that ships discretely. You can find a lot of sex toys on Amazon, too, sometimes for a bit cheaper. Research what you're getting and read reviews.

The first sex toy I every got was the "Butterfly Kiss" dual-action (G-spot/clit) vibe, available on either site. Cheap, versatile, and effective enough for me! If you're not into dual-action, though, maybe someone else might have a better rec.

I have had good experiences with Eden Fantasys. They have a section for vibrators recommended for beginners.

Amazon sells sex toys as well. Plus, no neighbour or prying family will ever question an Amazon delivery.

Which country are you from? It might have some good country-specific sites. If you're from Germany, for example, I'd recommend eis.de.

Aw, sorry nonny, I just couldn't resist the chance to use that gif. I didn't mean anything negative by it. I wish you the best of luck on your sex toy quest!

Disclosing the country might help narrow some things down. A lot of the sites that ship outside of the US still only ship to certain countries

I hear this one is good (and kind of fun): http://www.vibereview.com/sex_toys/dinky_digger

I don't like vibrating stuff myself, though, so it's basically what some friends told me.

I'm in Europe and I've used Ann Summers and LoveHoney in the past. I think they're both UK-based but ship internationally.

LoveHoney especially has a lot of choice and some good offers sometimes. It's also easy to search the site within specific criteria -- how quiet the vibe is, the material, the size etc. which might be helpful for your first purchase.

Both also use discreet packaging and discreet business names on your CC statements.

Depends a bit on where you are. For Europe I would try fun factory. They are German based and have a good selection of silicone stuff.
