I've not played Cross either, but the DS rerelease of Trigger added a new secret ending involving her to tie the two games together better, and jeez talk about throwing Magus under the bus for it :(

Man, the additions for the DS release were pretty awful!! I dont remember cross itself being that terrible about it, honestly, just the connections they decided to make in the new content.
