Re: anxiety advice

I find different things helpful at different times, so I have to listen to what my body is telling me, if that makes sense. If I'm feeling wound up, I might find walking around the house at a brisk pace more of a relief than trying to sit through meditation audiobooks or something. Have you looked into grounding techniques at all? I'm not very good at doing the "five things you can smell/see/hear/feel" one, but I like to see how many objects of a certain colour I can spot, because it keeps me more focused when I start to feel jittery.

If it's a particular thought or feeling that's worrying you, there are cognitive behavioural therapies that focus on dealing with those. If you don't feel like you're getting the support you need to feel better from your therapist or psychiatrist, then maybe it's time for them to step up or for you to find someone who will take a more active role in helping you.

I hope you find something that works for you. Anxiety sucks.
