It's weird to me that in the midst of all of this turmoil over police brutality and human rights, people keep relating it to fiction (you're not the first person who I've seen compare this to The Wire). Like, this is horrific--is comparing it to fictional television the only way we can process the destruction of black lives? idgi

It's Baltimore, and The Wire was/still is huge. If it weren't Baltimore, you probably wouldn't be seeing these types of comparisons.
