I don't mind fandom wear, but the ironic I'M WEABOO TRASH stuff pisses me off. Like, who are you trying to appeal to with that? If I don't like anime I'm going to assume you've got self-esteem issues and a strong interest I don't share. If I do like anime I'm not going to be fond of the "lol I like anime I am trash" idea.

Seriously, can we please stop with the 'ironic' cursing, aggression, insults, tackiness, and general BADness? I understand that everyone around a certain age went through their embarrassing childhood weaboo phase, but that's no reason to be a hipster dick about it.

Pretty sure it's the rest of fandom probably, since weeaboo have been easy fandom bait for awhile. People calling themselves weeaboo trash are trying to make it so other people can't call them weeaboos/make fun of their hobby since they've already done it.

It just comes off as insecure thoughh.
