Yeah, which seemed like a really lame, forced reason to get Natasha in a cage that Bruce could save her from. There didn't seem to be any real purpose that wasn't Natasha wiring over the location, which was kind of deus ex machina tbh.

Idk about deus ex machina, never understood this expression, but Natasha was a bit OOC there.
I also didn't get why she said that after the operation making her unable to conceive it was easier to kill. I don't see a link.

She didn't say that to explain why she could kill people, she said it to explain why she was forcibly sterilized, and she said that to make Bruce feel better about not being able to have kids.

(Though I liked that scene, it left me with a couple of questions. First, was the Nat-being-sterilized thing in the comics, or was it previously mentioned in MCU [I don't remember it], or was it something Joss put in just to add that dynamic to her relationship, or whatever-it-was, with Bruce?)

It's from some of the comics.

I didn't like the idea that having/not having kids is the first thing Bruce thought about concerning a family. Especially after Clint's idyllic family life. I'm glad they didn't add a golden retriever...

I mean, he turns into a green monster, she's a spy assassin and the thing that worries them is that they biologically can't have children.

And that scene with Natasha seeing Clint's baby photo. Kids are great, sure, but why? In a superhero movie, no less.
