I like Northern accents. Also I liked David Tennant until I got really, really tired of him and his goony and weepy faces.

Still like Matt Smith and Billie Piper at least. I haven't seen much of the Clara stuff but she seems all right, too.

Anyway, I think a lot of us genuinely like Nine for being very much the Doctor and a distinctive variation, not someone dressed up as a poor knockoff of Three (looking at the movie and Eight) nor a younger, cuter version of Five/Seven (flippin' Ten).

I liked Nine all on his own merits, not because I thought the other Doctors were crap not "not the Doctor", thank you very much. I liked all the Doctors, including Nine.

I do like...most of them. I think there are problems with the costume design for a few of them, and with the characterisation of a few of them.

What I'm saying is that Nine works as a "different personality of the Doctor," and not some kind of distilled "classic" or "standard" Doctor, while still being the Doctor.

Ten was pretty fun sometimes, and was the "young/sexy" Doctor in a way. Eleven was an interesting kind of quirky.

Eight's movie was a shame, although I like parts of it; I think the script did McGann no favours.

Nine was interesting in that he was so different from the rest, but also an introduction for many fans. Some say we're being edgy for liking that, but I think he was brilliant.
