I don't think it's necessary to respond to comments unless you get a specific question or unique point of view. It gets very tiring and repetitive to always respond to comments with, "Thanks for the feedback!" so after a certain time I usually stop responding.

It's nice when people respond to comments but I don't find it necessary. And I don't think someone should leave a comment expecting anything of anyone.
