Image: The word "hello" in various languages
Text: It puzzles me why a very specific corner of one of my fandoms for an English-language American thing has a group of mostly ESL BNFs on Tumblr.
It’s not unlikely considering the world is huge!
I just stupidly feel like there’s a reason in this particular case that I can’t see, even in the face of no evidence. They’re from different countries, and don’t seem to have been introduced to the fandom through another common fandom.

That is curious and now I kinda want you to find out the reason and tell us so we can know too.

It's probably just a coincidence.

If they speak the same language, maybe someone in particular ported it over?

Is that so...

Is the fandom ESL friendly? That might be a factor.

Personalmente me sentiría más cómoda en un fandom donde la mayoría no sea de USA, o por lo menos donde haya un buen grupo de personas ESL con quienes hablar.

As an ESL, I get introduced to a lot of fandoms through my American friends, so I don't see why it would be weird? It's the internet, you get to love lots of things that aren't available in your country at all. (Which can be depressing sometimes)
