I was floored by how much I grew to love Cass. She turned out being one of my favorite companions and her friendship with the Inquisitor is one of my favorite things about the game. I think I would've romanced her by now if I could've done so as a woman (my first playthrough was as a male dwarf, so when I restarted I wanted to be a lady), but it hasn't happened yet. I've got way too many playthroughs...

I have watched it though, and find it very sweet! Hopefully I'll get around to it eventually; I've got an Inquisitor ready for her.

As for Cassandra/Varric, I love their banter. Ugh, they have the best banter. I feel like they would be surprisingly adorable together once they get over the whole hostile thing they have going on.

But I also think Cass would be great with Cullen, so she's one I could multiship.

This is the first run I've actually kept Varric and Cass both in my party with me. The companion AI is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to non-melee range characters, so Varric tends to get sidelined for either Blackwall or Bull the second I pick one of them up, and Solas only stays in the party because I have this thing about elves and annoyingly need to keep a mage with me for veilfire purposes. I expect their banter to be full of snark, especially after the bit where he finds out she's into his books.

I miss tactics so much, you have no idea. I love Varric so much that he's almost a staple in my party, but I do take him out occasionally. It's kind of hilarious how an archer won't back the fuck away from the combat, lmao. They just get right in there.

Blackwall is def the most resilient and competent companion imo, but as much as I like him I haven't used him that heavily yet. (Because I tend to bring my favorites instead of who would actually be useful.)

Solas is great, he has a lot of insightful things to say! A mage is almost a must in DA games.

They are def entertaining to watch, but Varric has good convos with everyone.

If you go into their behaviors and set them to follow themselves, they'll usually stay a bit further away from combat.
