Not in the US, they aren't.

But don't you know, our Christians are ohhhh sooooo oppressed? *rolls eyes*

But State and Church is separate in America, right?

Yeah. But it's not specific to any religion. All churches of whatever religion can have tax-exempt status, provided they meet certain conditions.

I don't think it's ideal, but I also don't think it's a big deal from a separation-of-church-and-state point of view.
