Text: I had a fandom friend. Let's call him Chris. He was open about being FTM transgender and I was totally cool with that. We were part of the same obscure non-English fandom and close friends for years until Chris disappeared without a word one day.

Just last week, I joined a new fandom, and there was Chris. Same art style, same fic style. Only now she was "Christine" the semi-BNF who had been there forever and acting like "Chris" had never existed.

OFC I'm not going to go out her or something. Whatever, gender is fluid and I'm happy that she's not dysphoric anymore. But it hurts that she didn't think she could tell me about it, or why she left.
