If I'm respectful towards them or not depends entirely on their behaviour. I don't have a problem with being neutral about it, but respect goes out of the window as soon as they start behaving in a way that doesn't make me want to respect them.
And I will never respect "spacekin", "godkin" or "fictionkin" because that's just plain stupid. Ignoring them, sure. Tolerating them? Works. Not openly antagonising/disrespecting them without provocation? Sure. But respect them? Nah.
