Sort of upbeat, bombastic stuff. Stuff I can move to, because I sometimes dance or walk around when formulating ideas.

For studying or focusing on an article I need to read, I don't need distracting noise, however the presence of other people minding their own business helps. So it can be in a library, or a cafe with the music set at just the right volume that everyone's convos becomes this nice white noise.

For writing, same as above, but I can work with instrumental music or anything that isn't plugged into my ears. Lyrics can be very distracting.

With drawing though, just about anything goes excepts for musicals because then I'll start singing along. My favourite things to draw to are EDM and symphonic metal. If I don't feel like uing my own music, I'll go through a youtube playlist, or even whatever dethtoll has suggested over the past few days.

Silence? Ideas and shit typically come to me when I watch somebody doing a thing, or watching/playing a thing. If I was an vidder I'd definitely need music. God knows how many times I can picture a perfect fanvid or parody op but lack the skills or motivation to do it.
