Seriously?

It's Cardcaptor Sakura. It's like wish fulfillment for little girls, living vicariously through a character where the teacher they have a crush on likes them back. Tanking a friendship because your friend gave CLAMP (which is ridiculous at the best of times IMO) a pass is kind of a shitty thing to do.

Yes, seriously. She was super dismissive of the fact that anyone might find it creepy because "it's only CLAMP". While I do understand the childhood crush issue (and I had crushes on teachers too), it's the fact that the teacher reciprocates the feelings that gets under my skin.

You still ditched a friendship because she was fine with a fictional thing you weren't. That's petty and shitty. Especially since you are being passive aggressive about it.

yeah but the fictional thing is pedophilia

like

it really depends a lot on how you say it

I get that it bothers you. (Last time I watched it I was fairly young and it probably IS weird, but I didn't think so then) I just don't get why you're avoiding your friend because of it. Unless it's the straw that broke the camel's back (ie she's dismissive about other more important matters as well), I don't think its worth ruining your friendship over. Just my two cents of course.
