Oh god, SOOOO agreed on Captain Kirk. It's unbelievably frustrating. Because Kirk is my favorite character but for a long time I thought I'd hate him because of the pop culture stereotype.

For Luke and Leia, I definitely agree that Leia never shows any romantic inclination towards Luke, but Luke definitely would have liked to get with her. He's not the jealous type, though, so when it becomes clear that she's into Han, he lets it go. And thank goodness for that.

I really didn't see that with Luke at all after Episode IV, and I've seen the trilogy several times.

Well by Episode V, it's pretty clear that Leia is attracted to Han.

I was thinking more of Episode IV when right after they've rescued her, Luke asks Han what he thinks of her. It's pretty clear from that scene that Luke's interested in Leia and would love to sweep her off her feet.

Oh yeah, that I totally agree, but given that he just met her HOURS ago, I think it's more of an idea-crush than any actual personal feelings for her as a person.
