Yeah, I wouldn't mind him being that way at all. In fact, my brain tells me he ought to be that way, because of how good he is at pretending to seduce women. But, well, he just isn't that way. It's canon.

I'm not sure I think he ought to be that way, but I wouldn't say I would mind it either. I don't mind that Kirk in AOS clearly likes sex (though I do have some issues with the way he's written, I still like him), but then again...a part of me thinks it's kind of neat for TOS Kirk to not seem all that interested in sex and romance because it's the opposite of what people expect from him. It's kind of refreshing.

Well, maybe "ought" is too strong. I think it would make sense if he was that way. But he isn't and yeah you're exactly right -- it's nice that he's not because it's unexpected from someone like him. It gives him more layers of depth and complexity when his personality traits don't all align in some pre-established mold.
