This reminds me of the conspiracy theories surrounding Benedict Cumberbatch and that his marriage was all part of the campaign to get the Oscar win.

How do people come up with this stuff? More to the point - WHY?

I mean, it's like, "WHELP, just got the most prestigious nomination I'll get in my field, there's literally nothing keeping me from getting married, so... let's do this."
