I don't know what game you're playing, but maybe the official (or fan) forums have folk advertising their guild you could look over?

But yeah, I don't get harping on people who haven't done FAQ research or a lot of lurking in-game to acclimate to all the terms and standards. Like, if you're in a group, it's to everyone's benefit to help each other out (not the same as carrying someone at all).
