Neither tbh. I never liked the two of them together.

And tbh, they didn't really like each other. In fact, they barely interact outside group scenes. Heero gets along with Trowa and Quatre far far better than he ever did with Duo. Duo, oddly enough, got along with Wufei.

It's that ONE artbook's fault for the 1x2 stuff. That artist was obsessed with pairing them off together in those images.

I'm not so sure that I'd say they didn't really like each other. I will definitely admit that during the first part of the series, Duo did seem to get on Heero's nerves. I think it would be fair to call them friends by the end of the series. But yeah, they barely interacted during the series from what I remember. I need to rewatch, apparently. They both has much better chemistry with other people in the series itself.

Those magazine scans didn't help. Of course, since Heero and Duo were the two most popular characters they got paired up a lot in spreads and in fandom.

But yeah, 1x2 never did anything for me.
