Not to give too much away... how do you feel about the idea of possession? A person slowly losing herself to a dark, unknown force?

Thanks for replying! That probably wouldn't affect me too badly; I'm worse with things where the characters are basically being gaslighted and deeply questioning their perceptions of reality etc. Possession as a concept is far enough removed as to be low on that scale. That a lot of it (I think? From what I've seen of trailers) revolves around a kid makes it one step removed from me also, that that should help also.

spoilerish here: since the whole movie follows the perspective of the mother, who's losing her grip, it may still be pretty difficult imo. There are moments where she thinks everything is normal but she sees things that aren't there (cockroaches) and it affects her strongly, or when she thinks she's doing something but then realizes she's dreaming. I'm not usually skeeved out by that kind of thing but Babadook really unnerved me because of that.
