Awesome People appreciation thread

(Anonymous) 2015-05-13 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Let's all take a moment to appreciate the awesome people in our lives.

Like my friend, who offered me to stay over so I could drink at the party we went to tonight. Not only did she arrange the covers and bedding on the couch the opposite way that she usually does because I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I prefer it that way, she also used the covers with the design that I love (it's sooo pretty), just for me. I forgot that I told her those things, but she didn't just remember but arranged everything the way I like it. My friend is total awesome.

That's so kind, especially her remembering how you like your bedding!

My friend out of the blue offered to get me some tsumtsums from his local Disney Store (our nearest one is an outlet and is far away) and he sent me two of them on the house! Like how kind is that?

I've always been insecure and it never helped that in every friendship I have ever had up until the last couple years I was always the one to seek out the other person and start every conversation, and I'd end up wondering if I'd ever hear from them again if I didn't bother for a while and if they even actually like me. Several years ago I talked to my best friend about how much this bothered me and she actually listened and started putting more effort into sometimes being the one to contact me first. She's kept it up this whole time and I still really appreciate it.

That's an awesome friend and really, I'm happy for you.

I suppose my best friend never fails to cheer me up because I will randomly text her and she always knows what to say. We live several hundred miles apart so we only see each once or twice a year, but it doesn't feel like it because of how much we talk.

All my pro contacts here, who are letting me carpool to the con we're doing in Maine this weekend, and gave us the name of a distributor in Jersey who seems interested in our work.

And my friend, who when she found out I was spending the entire afternoon and evening in her part of town, offered to make me dinner so I wouldn't have to pack two meals in my bag. She made us quesadillas, let Sneak help her make cookies, and then gave zer the bowl and spoon.

We have very nice friends.

My mom's home health nurse definitely qualifies. I don't know what we would do without her; she's been a great help and is a lovely person. (She only comes once a week, but if we have questions or concerns she's available.)

Oh, and your friend sounds extremely kind and thoughtful!
