I'm curious, how could you win a lottery if you know statistics? I mean, it's a pretty simple process, mathematically speaking, but the catch is, in most lotteries the statistical average of your winnings is less than the statistical average of your losses. So, the longer you play, the more likely you are to lose money rather than to gain it. If you do get a big win, it's entirely accidental and cannot be predicted.

Unless he, like, buys so many tickets from one lottery that his average winnings are statistically greater than his average losses... but man, that would be a SHITTON of tickets, and I'm not sure it would even be always possible?
