AYRT (not OP) - Yeah, I get ya. Like, YAY we finally get one of those moments... but uh, Arthur's dead. ><

Can't find it for the life of me right now, but there's one of those tumblr text posts that says something along the lines of 'When your OTP do the forehead touch thing' - and I can't help but laugh when people reblog it with Merlin/Arthur. Like, DAMMIT!! We were so close!

Hahaha, that post sounds epic. That's certainly how I feel about that scene; it was beautiful and perfect and kind of everything I've ever wanted for Merlin and Arthur and it came right at the end of the series immediately following a character death. You have to laugh at the ridiculous tragedy, or you'll cry. (Or hell, do both.)

I just thought of an even more hilarious example, that being Hannibal and Will (almost) doing the forehead thing right before and after Hannibal shanks Will in the stomach. (Though to be fair to Hannibal, his speech did seem quite romantic... You know, considering this is Hannibal we're talking about.) Has there ever been a more fucked up hug/cuddle?
