What about people who weren't in it for the ships though? Would they fall into the "got what they wanted" or "still have things to write" category?

AYRT -Yeah, I thought about that after I posted this, and I'd say they still fell into the "got what we wanted" - since a lot of them actually weren't in it for the ships alone, but nonetheless, they were in for the speculation factor. I personally thought we had more to explore than ever, but IIRC some people outright said "there's nothing to explore anymore." They got the canon they wanted.

Huh, I find this really weird. I mean, sure, with the mysteries solved, that specific avenue is closed, but there's a million other things to speculate about, if the speculation factor is what they're in it for.
