In my experience, some people legitimately don't notice certain messes (as hard as it is to believe that their noses don't work or they don't mind eating off paper towels because the dishes have developed their own ecosystem), so it's not like your lack of cleaning will be a huge revelation to them because they never had a problem with the filth to begin with. Not saying continue to clean up after them, because fuck that, just be prepared for them not to care, especially if you're not direct about it.
