You mean, if a deity isn't omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent? Then I would have no problem with questioning why they allowed evil to exist, but there'd still be all the other issues that make me doubt there is such a thing as a god or gods.

It just made me question the Judeo-Christian assumption that God is perfectly omnipotent. Maybe He is, but people just sort of say it because that's what people say, and I don't know if there's really any basis (Biblical, philosophical, or otherwise) for assuming that HAS to be true.

Though He may be omnipotent as far as makes no difference, from a human perspective.

Darn, now I'm getting philosophical and I need to go to bed soon...

Yehuda Bauer once said that if God permitted the Holocaust, he's Satan, and if he couldn't stop it, he's a nebbish. I wouldn't put it in quite those terms, but I agree with the general idea.
