2/3 = .666(repeating)
3/3 = .999(repeating)
All you're looking at is a difference in notation.

Irrational numbers don't have a repeating pattern in decimal notation.

You said calculators can't handle rational numbers. I was asking if you meant to say they can't handle irrational numbers.
