The non-woobie non-'glamorous' side-effects of addiction. Things like manipulating people or lying. I understand, because fandom loves to focus on super-obvious h/c tropes like a character being shaky or not eating enough or being in pain. But still, it'd be nice to see people actually acknowledge that part of what makes addiction such a fucked kind of mental illness is the way it can hurt everyone around the addict!protag.
