You aren't the first fan to name a kid after a favorite character, and you won't be the last.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-19 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
So what exactly is your point with this comment? Just feel like being a dick today?

[personal profile] herpymcderp 2015-05-19 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I could ask you the same thing, nonny.

On the off chance you aren't trolling to troll though, it was meant to express that OP is by far not alone.

I feel worse for the kid whose parents named him Dovahkin to get a free copy of Skyrim.

Oh come on, I'll be the first to say that Herpy posts a lot of really pointless dick bullshit but this isn't one of those occasions. You're really reaching here.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-19 12:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol how's that a dick comment? It reads like YANA.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-18 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Rock on with bringing the name Louise back! She's my favorite Belcher.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-18 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
At least that's a normal name?

I mean you could've named your kid Sephiroth or something. Harder to claim that was your great grandma in a case like that.

I am cackling at the thought of someone trying to pass off Sephiroth as their grandmother.

I'm imagining a little old lady entering a room to the strains of the Sephiroth theme.

I'm jealous of the little old lady because that theme is EPIC. Grandma is a badass.

But I was really just imagining Sephiroth in a pink frock and short, curly wig with a walking cane.

Oh gosh, I had not taken your initial post literally, but that is an amazing mental image. I kind of want to make it.
elaminator: (Skies of Arcadia: Aika & Fina & Vyse)

[personal profile] elaminator 2015-05-19 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
It was too beautiful a mental image to not take literally. Sephiroth would be an awfully unconvincing little old lady, but he would think otherwise.

At least he would be a lot prettier than Tim curry in a girl scout uniform...

(Anonymous) 2015-05-19 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
Can't. Un. See.

Yeah, that scene scarred me for life.

I can't think of a better Louise to name your kid after!
elaminator: (Vikings: Lagertha (smile))

[personal profile] elaminator 2015-05-18 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think it matters who she's named after as long as the name is a nice one. (And it is!)

(Anonymous) 2015-05-18 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Nice choice.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-18 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
The poor kids across the street from me have been saddled with Meribor Cassiopeia and Angus Ka-el so I think Louise is lucky.

(Names from one specific ST:TNG episode + original BSG and Macgyver + Superman)

(Anonymous) 2015-05-19 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Kal-el, not Ka-el.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-19 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
My brothers name is not Kon-el, even if a barista writes otherwise.

For the most part I don't understand why people would care where a name comes from as long as its sensible and not something like some anime character with a crazy name.

If it's a good name, than its a good name.

[personal profile] cushlamochree 2015-05-19 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Louise is a good name, and that's generally the most sensible kind of fandom tribute, so go you, OP.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-19 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent name on both counts. (Although if it were my baby I would really really want to get her a pink hat with ears!)
