I guess because if you know something's coming that you're not going to like, then you do have the option not to watch.

You can disagree with the way something's handled, but being upset that it happened at all when you knew and could have avoided it is pretty silly. Like, no one made you stick your hand into that open flame, you know? Yes burns hurt, but when you didn't have to be burnt in the first place because you know what sticking your hand in an open flame does...
