mmmeh.. if they're in any kind of daycare the influence will start around 2,5 years. that's when my daughter started preferring pink and purple stuff because her girl friends wore that, and play with sparkly pink things because her girl friends played with that stuff.

Fair enough. I don't think I was in daycare/preschool until was at least three, and I think I was also a stupidly oblivious child. Don't have any kids of my own yet so my direct experience is pretty limited.
