Second one is worlds better. It's like a leap from PS1 Batman games to Arkham Asylum. Third one is even better. Like Arkham City with a reach-around. Tight mechanics, Fun battles, well implemented strategy. Detective work is grade A, like "CSI: Middle Earth". Geralt is even more badass, Yennifer is in the game now, and CIRI!!!!!

Plus the beard will actually grow as time passes. Realisitc beard mechanics will sell me any game.

I don't know what any of these names mean, but I have 2 still lying around so I might give it a try.

Honestly, I'd skip to 3, but it was 50 quid.

My advice: Read the books. Some of them have been translated. If you like the world, try dipping into 2.

3 should be good and cheap by then.

That sounds like needless effort for a series that has done nothing to convince me so far.

Yeah, maybe, but the books are cheap (or free if you know what I mean?) and are the best argument I have for getting into the world. From there go where ever you want, just be aware that 3 is the apex.

It's not buying the books, it's doing homework to play a game that puts me off. I'm also very careful with hyped games myself, but I'm sure 3 will show up in a bundle or summer sale sometime.
