Does switching off a movie you dislike erase your memory of the annoying parts you've already watched? No. It does not.

In fact, as said above, you kind of HAVE to watch parts that annoy you in order to even realize you dislike it and to decide to turn the movie off. Maybe turning the movie off in the middle reduces the amount of annoyance by half, but it's still annoyance and it still piles up if it happens a lot.

What kind of movies are people watching where the romance plot sneaks up on them like a ninja halfway through without any warning whatsoever?
