Okay but, a lot of movies that aren't romances have sappy "one true love" subplots in them. Most movies have some kind of romance in them, doesn't matter what the genre is. And I mean shit, I knew they were gonna do Hulk/Black Widow for Age of Ultron, but I sure as fuck didn't know it was gonna be as sappy and ham-handed as it was, and it was obnoxious. But are you seriously gonna sit there and tell me I should have purposely spoiled the fuck out of myself when it came to that and not have not seen a movie I was really looking forward to because of a subplot that wasn't my cup of tea?

I don't understand people like you, honestly, because it's like you can't abide people having pet peeves or getting annoyed by things in media. It's all or nothing: they either have the like every part of it, or it's their own damn fault for not avoiding it altogether.
