Notes:

Remember, longer posts starting next week (although we probably won't get a whole 700 anyway). Going to try the full post first, then split it in half if it takes too long for people (probably a poll on this later). Let's try it first to see if it needs fixing before fixing it, and stuff. Uhhh --

Also, remember that secrets starting next week have to be 600x600 or less! And another option for making your image files smaller in file size for everyone's page-loading convenience has been suggested here.

Thanks to everyone who's responded!

I'm all for sexiness and lack of clothing is included in that, but suits (and similar clothing) are way hot, too.

Jumping in out of nowhere, but I totally agree. I mean, how freaking pretentious would they look?

I prefer my academics in jeans and hoodies over suits any day. Or maybe some tweed. But that's just because I have a crush on one of the profs in my department, so whatever...

How do you know if someone is smart just by looking at them? That's quite a talent thar.

LOL yeah, it's really the random dressed up person who is the wanker in this scenario.

I would think, first: "Oh god, three piece suits are a million times hotter than two piece suits. Mmmm, vests."

Then I would think: "Goddammit, and I'm wearing this old t-shirt that I slept in like a jerk. I need to start getting up earlier."

And finally, if I particularly liked the style: "I wonder where he got it?"

Cloaks make me think that someone is hurrying to their LARP game.

"Must be a business major."

There's a guy in my creative writing class who wears three-piece suits every day and carries a briefcase. I look at him, I think, "This guy means business. His stuff has got to be good." And lo, it is. I look at the scruffy guy in a hoodie and I think, "This guy is a wanker, he probably writes terrible fiction just to get girls to sleep with him, and he owns no less than three objects he can smoke marijuana out of." And lo, that describes him.

Just sayin'.

Academics in jeans and hoodies--particularly the young academics--have become commonplace, at least in my college. I find academics in suits or tweed to be charmingly old-school. (Particularly if they're ladies. I had a lady psych prof who wore tweed, and I sat in the front row every day, and I'm pretty sure she noticed my melty gazes and flirting. Because she was an expert at observing human behavior.)

:( See, that's why I can't have nice things.

Also, cheapness and laziness. But this too.
