I also love this movie! It's subtle, original, interesting and well-acted; it really exemplifies everything Canadian film culture is about.

I hadn't heard of this movie, but the title made me laugh because I used to live right by the town of Pontypool. To realise that it's actually set there has made my week, and I will have to look it up!

I assumed it was Pontypool in the Welsh Valleys? Is there also one in Canada?

Yep there's one in Canada, and that's where the movie is set. Pontypool, Ontario was named after the Welsh town. We have lots of places like that! Living in the UK now, it makes looking at maps extra fun.
