I hear you on that. Before texting was a thing I'd have days where I simply wasn't on the computer very much because I was playing games on consoles. I remember when MGS3 came out, I was basically incommunicado for like a week and when I got back online it was like coming home to an army of pets who thought you were dead.

Nowadays with a smartphone and always-on internet I'm in contact with at least SOMEONE pretty much all the time, even if I don't actually leave my house often.
