Acupuncture in my childhood is what ultimately got me to fear needles well into my adult life. My parents used to practice it and they wanted to give one to me. Being a somewhat quiet, timid eight-year-old, the thought of having even one needle in my hand scared the CRAP out of me.

But I'm glad it works for you, anon. Clearly you are much braver than I ever will be. :)
