Last chapter Sarada and Chou Chou get jumped by Shin. Naruto saves them, Shin and fingers Uchiha retreat. Chou Chou asks Naruto if he's her father, Naruto is confused, and Naruto mentions they'll see Sarada's father soon. (Sascakes) Sarada mentions she knows nothing about Sasuke and Naruto thinks to himself that he has been gone a long time. He then eats the lunch they brought for Naruto and Naruto says aside from looks Sarada is the spitting image of Sakura. He then tells Chou Chou she's basically a black Chouji, much to her disappointment. (Chou Chou is pretty fun)

Sarada then runs off and finds Sasuke, awakening her Sharingan on the way. Sasuke, having a long history of pointing sharp objects at women, points his katana at Sarada and asks if she's working with Shin. End chapter.

She is so not a spitting image of Sakura, these assistants are smoking everything under the sun.

They could've at least given her a high forehead and a hairstyle that shows it off.

This I agree with. Or hell....give her freakin green eyes that can become sharingan. SOME recessive traits CAN come up from time to time.

I get that you don't want her to be Sakura's, but she is a lot like Sakura. She's not crushing on anyone, but the temper, her mannerisms, hell she even does SHANAROOOO. They're all Sakura. The only "Karin" thing about her is the glasses, which are painfully obvious as a red herring.

Temper and mannerisms are a result of nurture and not nature though and Sakura was the one who raised her.

Appearance-wise Sarada does not look a lot like her (though I do think she is Sakura's bio daughter and I agree that the Karin thing is most likely a red herring)

Well yeah, Naruto said appearance wise she's just female Sasuke lol

Picking up mannerisms from an adoptive parent IS a thing, you know. And if Sasuke is the absentee "dad" he is, can you blame her? Plus I remember Karin having a temper. Sakura doesn't have a monopoly on tempers and temper tantrums.

I get the feeling you're going to be really mad when Sakura turns out to be the bio mother lol

Huh? Why would Chou Chou ask if Naruto was her father... I'm guessing all this random stuff adds up to something. I'm intrigued by Naruto for the first time in a long time, I have to say, if only because it's a bit frustrating.

You may not recall, but Chou Chou joined Sarada because she thought that Chouji wasn't her father (He's embarrasses her and is fat!) and so she "went on a journey" to find her "real" father. She just asked Naruto that because he bamped in and she thought he was cool. It's just comic relief, not plot related lol

Ah, okay... whew. I haven't been keeping up with the plot, except for a few posts I saw with it first started, and this post, haha.

I was thinking she'd do that to Sasuke instead, but I guess Naruto makes more sense since Sasuke has no sense of humor haha
