Don't mention ze war! (<--- the number of Germans I've had make this joke to me is wonderful)

I love Fawlty Towers, although it is hideously un-PC and I have to fast forward a fair amount of it. Childhood nostalgia and all that.

My main gripe with FT was that the re-arranged signs at the beginning of each episode were never true anagrams of 'Fawlty Towers'. That really bugged me.

I always liked the theory that whoever did the sign ran out of the correct letters so thought "fuck this" and put whatever sprang to mind with what they had.

At least that's how I comfort myself when I noticed the same anagram issue.
