I'm posting this now that the community is less active, I don't want to start wank so feel free to ignore or delete my post, but I'm fucking tired of seeing comments like the ones posted by dethtoll on this thread.

It seems that if you're using a user name you can get away with harassing, persecuting anons and being a dick in general and it's okay! Just because some of us want to post as anons doesn't mean that we aren't real people with real feeling. I feel like certain users on this site feel that it's okay to be rude to anons, they give us a harsher treatment that they give to people posting under a user name.

+1 It is a major problem. One that Case is determined to ignore too. Honestly, this whole all anon are same anon meme is one that he needs to crack down on.

Eh, I don't think it's a problem and haven't noticed it being. I think you're either whining about nothing or trying to troll and the same anon as the one above. Anyway all the worst comments that I've seen have always been anon. Stop trying to make something out of nothing and stir drama.

Yeah, I think dethtoll's comments today were absolutely over the line. I can understand why some people are down on anonymous posters because, hey, shit does go down some of the time. And a lot of anons are trolling, Lord knows. But what dethtoll said was too much.

I agree, which is why threads like that get frozen, just like every anon thread in which things like this happen.

Anons can get away with the same things by sheer virtue of being anon, and not having a name so they can post any aggressive thing they want without being connected back to themselves. If anons do that, threads get frozen - if dethtoll does that, threads get frozen. If you're arguing about equal treatment, where is the inequality in how they are treated?

The inequity is in the threshold where the freeze kicks in. You tolerate a far greater range of aggression from the named users than you do from anons. Seems like you set the bar at different levels.
