This is why I only read completed fics these days (except for 1-2 authors I trust to update regularly).

Same here. Out of the WIP's I've dared to touch, only one ever got completed. No more WIP's for me.

Me neither! Especially in cases where there's only one chapter or the epilogue left to tie up all the plot threads. Didn't help that in most cases the author had updated regularly until then, so there was no reason to believe it'd just stop.
