Not really? It's not kinky, just crimped. I've seen a lot of white girls with that kind of crimped brown hair (it was a fashion a few decades ago), but rather more rarely do you see black girls with crimped brown hair.

Ah, you must be too young to remember the 80s. Look up "crimped hair". It's not as popular now as it was for a while back then, but it's not unheard of and it's not a style exclusive to black people, either.

My mom crimped my (reddish brown) hair when I was six. It was not a pretty sight.

Doesn't really work the same though. Unless you spend a ton of money on it, probably in the thousands for a wig that long, you're basically doing the equivalent of getting one of those t-shirts with the bikini body printed on them. Not to mention most wigs are hot and at least slightly uncomfortable.
