(Anonymous) 2015-05-26 12:00 am (UTC)(link)Let me clarify; even the people looking for those fics don't differentiate between them in my experience. And it tends to be fairly obvious either from the summary or the first few lines of a fic which variation it's going to be.
Your Fandoms May Vary, etc. etc. etc. but I can't remember seeing anyone make this distinction as vehemently as you have.

It sounds as though you're applying the expectations and conventions of the former onto the latter, which is likely to lead to disappointment.
I'd argue that most fanfic writers writing these kinds of stories aren't coming at it from the gender kink angle like you are, and as such the terminology and distinctions you make aren't necessarily going to be anything they're aware of.
