....like, you know atheism just means "doesn't believe in divine powers", right? It's not a political or social status. and it's definitely not a "group".

bc lets be serious, unless you live in the Bible Belt and/or have extremely religious parents, no one is going to care that you're an atheist.

Also what are you even talking about? Don't go judging someone else's situation, or pretend that everyday religious discrimination/attacks don't happen.

I'm not even an atheist dude. That's why I don't identify with them. I clearly said that.

Also lol I never said religious discrimaion doesn't happen, don't put words in my mouth dude
It just doesn't (as often) happen to atheists, or at least not as much as they whine and claim it does.

Again, I don't think you can say how often it does or doesn't happen to people.

And I also think that when Christians try or successfully make laws protecting or promoting their interests ("religious protections", anti-gay marriage, forcing Christian language into the government, etc) it is definitely an attack against everyone who is not Christian.

"... unless you live in the Bible Belt and/or have extremely religious parents, no one is going to care that you're an atheist."

I wish this were true, but it's far too simplistic a viewpoint if you're talking about the U.S. The majority of people in this country still identify as Christian. Nearly all our elected leaders are religious, mostly Christian. You don't have to live in the Bible Belt to get some unwanted attention if people know you don't believe in God.
