I agree about the apple/oranges thing. I have been in situations where talking at all would be really great, so I definitely welcome questions. But, I would also like to get into what's actually going on in the fandom too, and that's not something that you can really do with someone who's never read or watched the canon. So, I'm definitely happy getting either type of engagement.
